Paris and Neon Blue.

I love Paris! Any excuse for a quick trip to the city (visit galleries, cafes + catch up with my friends who live there) is a good one, but unfortunately this time I couldn't make it to the opening night of the Chic Arts Fair. Apart from being very busy with work, it was my daughters birthday and we have a young baby...  so, I kept an eye from a distance. I was very pleased to find out via Flaere Gallery, that out of so many outstanding photography in the show, my work (Neon Blue, Vertigo series) was published and mentioned by a few Parisian photographic art publishers...  la lettre de la photographie, the quarterly AZ ART magazine & Ninja magazine. Also, the large Neon Blue, no 4 out of an edition of 5 - has been acquired by a French collector and is staying in Paris. Viva La France!!

New London cityscapes - The Shard

I have been visiting some really interesting high locations lately, while researching and working on a few ongoing personal projects. This week I was at the top of The Shard in London Bridge area. The Shard was designed in 2000 by Renzo Piano (known by creating the Pompidou Centre, Paris) in collaboration with Richard Rogers. The building will be around 330m high and the tallest in the European Union. The structure is so high that it can play games with ones sense of perception. Everything from up there seems very small and distant underneath. Big and powerful buildings by the Thames front and famous London landmarks suddenly appear to be small toy buildings in a kind of legoland city... absolutely stunning! More images coming soon.
